Email Scam Alert

Bank of Lancaster County is warning of fraudulent emails that have been sent recently to customers and non-customers of the bank.

The emails are designed to look as if they originated from Bank of Lancaster County, and in some cases provide links to fake websites where personal information is requested, including account passwords and/or credit card numbers.  In other attempts, phone numbers are provided that when called, ask for similar personal information.

Please know that Bank of Lancaster County would not request information in this manner.

It should be noted that this does not imply that any Bank of Lancaster County customer information has been compromised, or that this is a result of any previous loss or theft of customer information.
